She is known for her role as Marina Cooper on Guiding Light as well as Marcy Brender on Dawson's Creek. Mary Louise Parker was featured in two episodes from the Showtime show Weeds. Her character was Judy Kramer, a Fox series from 2005 and Marcy Bender from Dawson's Run. As a character on the Guiding Light soap show, she played Marina Cooper. This role was a winner of an award from Soap Opera Digest in 2003 as Outstanding newcomer. Dollar played Cindy Thomas from 2007 until 2008 in ABC's Women's Murder Club. Dollar starred in The 2012 NBC Happy Valley pilot which wasn't taken up.
